Good evening, I have been toying with the idea of buying a noble on and off and there isn't many for sale ( only 3 currently advertised for sale on PH )

Now this one seems quite cheap but its leggy on the miles but does anyone know it ?

Or is it a total steer clear ?

The two others for sale are both in my budget but prices are quite far apart between them all, being from Scotland I'm limited to viewing or even getting a feel for one in the flesh so does any one know the other two ?

Does anyone have any opinions or history of these cars ?

I have just sold my m3 and looking to get into something a little more special, it will live in the garage mostly 3/4K miles a year max.

On further digging , the low mile care at 32k is a cat D aswell.

Spoke to the seller of the cheaper one. It has been to noble motorsport for an inspection and some bits rectified. It still needs a fair bit of tidying up according to the report. But they tackled some of them.

However it's been compression tested results are

CYL 1 - 170 PSI - 40% Leakage
CYL 2 - 170 PSI - 50% Leakage
CYL 3 - 160 PSI - 40% Leakage
CYL 4 - 175 PSI - 20% Leakage
CYL 5 - 165 PSI - 25% Leakage
CYL 6 - 180 PSI - 25% Leakage


The car is cheapish but I'm not sure what a rebuild or new engine cost would be, as I would be wanting to get this done. No point having a car down on power. It made 280bhp on their rollers. Ideally I would be looking for 400ish.


It won't be a track car, my intention would be to have a mint occasional use car/garage queen.

2003 GTO3 with 44K miles, over my 4 years of ownership its had £20K of Jetstream treatment including brakes, suspension, engine, & gearbox upgrades, plus all the pro alloy stuff + loads of carbon bits.
Currently running 440 BHP / 425 LBft (Mapped by Trevor Jasper).
You would be welcome to come & see it even just to get an idea of what to look for?

That's a great offer mate thank you, would be good to see one before venturing into the unknown completely blind. No matter how much research or reading up you do it's not the same thing as getting a look round a car properly and speaking to some one who's not just interested in taking your money.
