A mate who is a car detailer has a Tesla in for a once over.

Now it's no secret I'm not a leccyhead by any means but what an absolute heap of junk. It could have had a twin turbo V8 up front and it still would have been appalling.

Panel gaps were dreadful as was the paint finish. The interior was woeful, no redeeming features whatsoever. A huge screen in the centre of the dash and you had to use that even to alter the door mirrors.

Not a dig at it for being an EV, more to the fact it was woeful.

About 5yrs too late.....................
Maybe so however, it's the first one I've seen up close with a chance to have a look around it.

It could have 12 cylinders and cost an absolute arm and a leg too, but then it wouldn't be faster than your Aston Martin tongue out

Obvious troll...is obvious.
You couldn't be more wrong sweetie.

Not a troll at all, just pointing out how bad I thought the Tesla was.

Have nothing against EV's, they're just not for me.

But yet, not had one to live with ?
No.

I just don't like the idea of them. Take it or leave it that's just how it it.

Anyhow, this post was about the Tesla I had a close look at, not whether I want an EV or not.

What did you make of the tech in the Tesla?
To be honest I didn't get in to try it.

The car was at the detailers and it's not really on to jump into a car that belongs to someone else.

OP is a classic hater.
The car does the job for many and many.

Oh give it a rest.

I criticised the build quality of a car.....if you took your EV blinkers off you'll have seen that I said I have nothing against EV's, just that they're not for me.

You didn't try the tech? But you must have tried some of the tech because you said in your opening post that the mirrors could only be adjusted using the screen. Unfortunately, that comment is incorrect. They can be adjusted using a toggle button on the steering wheel (and via the screen - you have a choice). In fact, you can also set the mirrors to fold automatically at any chosen location (like a regular parking spot for example). So whilst you are of course perfectly entitled to offer your opinion, you need to get your facts right if your opinion is to be taken seriously.

As far as not wanting to buy an EV because 'they're not for you', don't buy one then. It's your choice but it doesn't help others to make an informed decision about whether an EV is right for them or not if you are making comments that are simply untrue nono
Apologies for the false info, that came from the detailer.

Watch the above OP and educate yourself.
On what?

Have already said it could have a twin turbo V8 and it still wouldn't appeal.

I do, yes.

This was originally posted in the General Gassing thread and it was PH who moved it over to this forum. It would have been better to have left it in GG as opposed to moving it here.
