Hi all,

Have a nail in a tyre - just been told it can't be repaired as it's a Tesla tyre (i.e. T0 acoustic).

Seems a bit weird but really the case?

Thanks,
RL

I guess they're decent tyres but have a better efficiency than the standard PS4's?

Or are better tyres recommended?

Aren't they a "get you home" type thing? I have a plug kit but more as an emergency fix...

I have put Michelin Cross Climate on mine whenever they needed replacing. No complaints.
I'll take a look, the PS4s are decent tyres but did you notice any range improvements with an A rated tyre?

Perfectly acceptable as a permanent fix if done correctly.
OK, just done mine with the kit I keep in the car and reamed it out, stuck the gear in and so far holding perfectly fine... Let's see how it goes.

Yes, I have an ebay one similar to that, one in each car as neither has a spare and always dubious about the slime.

But always assumed they were a temp repair!

Good to know.

So far the home tyre repair is holding up a treat, 42psi and no issue and no loss - and at motorway speeds, round abouts and the ultimate test of the school run, so far so good.

The TPMS I've always thought as a bit of a pointless gadget, but thinking I'll get them aftermarket for my other car with an android head unit, as saving the tyre before it gets ruined is a result!
