What's the group's view on the pops and bangs that the car generates on the over-run in sport mode?

Personally, I could live without it and would really like to get it removed if I could. Interested to hear what others think

So far that looks like 3-0 to the anti-pop brigade!

I've messaged the good guys at TRS Performance (responsible for the latest Life110 remap) to let them know of our interest so if there are others out there that would be interested if something could be done, let it be known here!

I'll be up for this please.
However; since i restricted the internal resonator, routing induction noise into the cab, it made a huge difference.
here is my write-up:
Another mod that will no doubt send shivers down some owners spinesshout
10mm socket to undo the plastic housing of the resonator from the rear bulkhead, inside the engine compartment. 9mm socket to release the attached intake rubber pipe. I simply cut a piece of high density foam and pushed it inside the plastic housing butting up against its internal wall, it is totally secure and cannot go any further. after re attaching the resonator to the bulkhead and then its intake pipe that's it!
Very simple procedure but what a difference it makes; suits me but wont for everyone.
I've posted all the relevant photos on flikr.

Thanks for the tip, Neil, certainly something I'll be doing.

All three displays leave a lot to be desired. Why can't I have an engine temperature "dial" in Normal. I'd like the Normal rev counter in Sport - and why do I get lumbered with a torque and power display - when I'd much prefer a decent sized clock. I never use the analogue speedo so why can't the real estate be used for something more useful. Track mode is just a bit bizarre. Just one mildly configurable display would make more sense.
Or just a set of analogue dials drivingdrink

Yes. Apologies to WWW (OP). That was my fault.

& as mentioned above, it would be great if we could be given the choice on pops & bangs, when buying a remap.
You don’t need a remap - it can just be coded out

I vaguely recall that Peter at TRS performance said he could do it - might be worth a call. I may have misremembered though.
I did chat with him and he confirmed it could probably be done. I pointed him at this thread smile

Can now confirm we successfully removed the overrun in Sport and Track mode on the A110 premiere edition, this will apply to non-preimere editions and A110S

This will help extend your calalyst life, as it's quite aggressive stock, although with a short duration. It is more aggressive than Fiesta ST MK8/BWM M4 competition's and most modern cars we've seen with overrun as standard.

To create the overrun/burble noise you have to retard the ignition when lifting off the throttle, as an example M4's use around -5/-8 degrees. MK8 Fiesta ST 1.5l ecoboosts are at 0 degrees, neutral. The Alpine is at -15/-18

Great news - I need to get mine booked in!

Assuming you mean either of these:

Yes, although sticking a bit of high density foam in there is cheaper smile
