East Anglia Owners meets
Discussion
Hi all, starting this thread for us Alpine owners in the East Anglia region covering Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambs. Idea is to have a monthly meet one Sunday morning a month. If you can start off saying who you are and where based and your model. Look forward to meeting up!
I am Stu, based Castle Hedingham north Essex and have a Pure with matte blue wrap.

Good for me and I'll be there for 10. Probably a stupid question but I presume the cafe is open then as well? I'm a regualr visitor to KH but never been there on a Sunday before ...
yes Ian, says open Sunday from 10am but I will drop them a line just to confirm in case their are closed for holidays or somethingBuzzzen said:
Great to meet you all and not an anorak in sight!!
Really interesting people so the Alpine clearly appeals to better types..
Apologies for the random routing in search of breakfast, but perhaps ICE next time?
Still pressing buttons to see what comes up on the display but yesterday I discovered pressing both + & - audio buttons mutes the sounds.. Small steps..
Looking fwd to next meet. Rgds Rowland

the up and down on the end of right stalk cycles through things like the turbo and gas %, compass, revs, settings menu etc. useful stuff.

Me again ... well, NOT "Dunmow Des" anymore ... I think "Vintage Des" is more appropriate: as in wine, obviously.
Probably "vintage cars" is more appropriate though. Recently/still owned include:
1903 6HP De Dion-Bouton - terrifying at 30mph into Brighton!
1913 Delage - gorgeous.
1916 Talbot 25/50 - first car to do 100miles in the hour (watch Percy Lambert on YouTube at Brooklands February 1913).
1932 Talbot 105 Team Car - winner of Alpine Trial in 1932.
1973 Citroen SM - owned since 1978.
And everyone NEEDS a few projects!!
A bit of a French theme there, topped off with the Alpine, the best pure (ha ha) drivers' car since the Elan.
