Hi there,

Ok so I am keen to try and get the gathering that was discussed recently underway.
The aim is to get 110 x Alpine A110’s together in one place.

I am speaking to Oulton Park in Cheshire to see if they can accommodate us as part of their Autos de France event on 12th October this year.

So first question is does that date work ?

Plan would be Oulton Park on the Saturday and then maybe for those further afield that want to make a weekend of it something on the Sunday.

Details here :-

https://www.oultonpark.co.uk/2024/october/autos-de...

I have asked on the A110 Owners group and loads of people are ok with the date. I am hoping we can get this locked in the diary and make it a really strong effort.

Regards

Tim

Hi there,

Ok so I am setting this up as an event as the reaction has been positive with loads of owners being agreeable to the date.

12th October 2024 at Oulton Park, Cheshire.

If you want to come along there is the chance to get a free ticket using the MSV Display my vehicle site, there are 50 places available for Alpine's.
Please use this link and follow the steps. Apply as an individual please as we are not registered officially with MSV as a club.
You will need to set up an account with them but it only takes a few moments and doesn't cost anything.

https://displaymyvehicle.msv.com/calendar/oulton-p...

Ticket is for driver only, you do have the option to add a passenger ticket during the application/checkout process.
The Display my vehicle ticket also includes the chance to take part in a parade lap (subject to event timing on the day)

Once completed you will then get an acknowledgement if your application is accepted. Tickets get sent by email and display passes are usually sent nearer the time

If you miss out on one of the 50 free places you will need to buy a tickets direct from Oulton Park using this link :-

https://oultonpark.msv.com/OP-24-FRANCE/Admission-...

I have also created an event on the A110 Owners Group on Facebook.

More details of the event will be posted as the weeks pass and the event gets closer.

Regards

Tim

Thanks Tim, registered and approved!

Once approved, it does then require you to purchase a ticket, seemingly; suggests the 'display' part is free but event entry is payable. Unless I'm missing something.

Might help manage expectations, doesn't seem unreasonable etc.

Nick
Thanks Nick,

You should once approved get a link to checkout but you can then add additional tickets, the drivers ticket is included free.

Please could someone in the area suggest a couple of hotel/ B&B options for the Saturday night? Thanks very much.
Hi James,

A few people I know have used Nunsmere Hall when attending events at Oulton Park (a few minutes drive up the road)

Not sure on your budget though.

Tim - also registered thanks, if there is any interest I would also be happy to arrange a "Dawn Raid" around N Wales on the Sunday morning for those that are making a w/e of it smile Last time I tried this there were only two interested so I agreed to re-arrange... looks like this could be a good w/e to do so.

Thanks for sorting the Saturday.

Cheers, Simon
Thanks Simon,

Thats a great idea. I actually think we might need a few events/things to do on the Sunday as there could be a decent number of owners staying over so a 'dawn raid' might be tricky if we have say 30-40 cars.

Lets see as the weeks progress who wants things to do on the Sunday and we can take it from there.

I've also just done the "display my vehicle" thing with MSV, easy process, second time I've done it as I'm also displaying my Alpine at the Fanatec GT3 race at Brands in a few weeks time.
Does anyone know what time they expect display vehicles to be in the circuit? I think it can be early as they want them parked up before most of the public arrive, guess I'll find out with Brands when they issue the display ticket nearer the date.
Really looking forward to going to Oulton again, spectated there in the 1980s while on a family holiday and did a TVR trackday in the early 1990s, a great track to drive but a bit far to go from Essex!
So I'll certainly be staying over, maybe Friday and Saturday so up for a Sunday morning drive/event, as has been said a 40 car convoy doesn't work but small groups following a route with a couple of stops should?
Hi there,

There is not usually a set time for display vehicles to arrive. At Oulton Park the infield is essentially the car park so I think the best we can hope for is a dedicated parking area where we can all head for. I am still waiting for a reply from the circuit to explore the options we have.

This sounds like fun! Would a Swedish A110 be welcome? You UK folks can marvel at the steering wheel being on the wrong size and the (supposedly) slightly larger battery!
Hi there,

Absolutely you would be most welcome.
