Warranty is 3 year 60k with options to expand to 5 and 7 years if required!
All warranty and servicing through existing Renault dealer network.
As far as cannibalising sales, not sure really. Twingo is 10k almost and new Clio starting at 11k next year.
This will e for people who would have bought a used car but can now afford a new one.

Maybe I'm living on a different planet or something? Are all of you really so hard up that you would consider driving around in a crappy £6000 Dacia? My son's mountain bike cost more than that FFS!
I bet your penis is massive too right? And your dad could beat up our dads?

adding leather as an option bumps it up by 2600!
You have to wonder why on earth anyone would want actual leather in something like this anyway. Would it even be genuine leather anyway? The leather is only £600, but you can only get it on the higher spec models.

Centre sections of the seats are genuine, sides and backs of seats are synthetic.

Which kind of defeats the point of this car. Basic, cheap and long warranty. Transport, not image. The hoover tumble dryer of cars. The leather is only £600, but you can only get it on the higher spec models.
You can spec one up as much as you like, you won't spend more than 13.5k iirc. That's for a diesel with touchscreen Nav, leather, metallic paint, alloys, 7 year warranty and every extra.
Not many people will do that, but it's still cheap as chips.

Scenic Conquest!
Was that the 'crossover' version of the first generation Scenic? Always thought they looked quite cool. Reminded me of an Armidillo.JREwing said:
Has anyone bought one?
I haven't seen any British-registered yet. And I can't imagine many people going for them in such a poverty spec.
I drove a Logan in Russia and it really was just like driving an old Clio in saloon form.
We've sold loads. Not a single boggo spec one though. Even the cheapest people going for the next spec up to gain electric windows and stereo for £600 extra.I haven't seen any British-registered yet. And I can't imagine many people going for them in such a poverty spec.

What area do you cover or is that Dacia as a whole in the UK?And that really doesn't surprise me. People just don't want unpainted bumpers and steel wheels.
ETA: When I asked if anyone's bought one, I meant of the members here.
I'm just saying for our area tbh. You still get steels on middle and top spec too

This is a new model. It was not tested yet. 3 stars got the 2008 model. Maybe it will get 4, but Dacia predicted only 3, in the worst case. But it's still way safer than an older used car. Dacia attracts people from the used car market, which can buy a new car with the money prepared for an used one.
I would disagree. For this sort of money you'd easily be in to a 2009 - 2010 era supermini with a 5-star NCAP rating.I'm not advising against buying a Sandero and I think they represent exceptional value for money buy my advice as always is to buy with your eyes open. Its evident safety has likely been compromised somewhat and that must be taken into account.
So, apples for apples; a 2009 '5 star' supermini could just as well be a '3 star' in the current tests.
Even a speed limiter is part of the current NCAP test which a lot of cars don't have.

No, no auto at all.
Bum. Would have made a brill purchase for the missus, she insists on auto. Oh well, second hand it will remain. Do the Dusters have a diesel auto option?CYMR0 said:
So they're more or less expecting the Ambiance to retain 100% of its price premium over the Access.
I guess it makes sense because that spec is so basic that there is no reason to buy it unless you're frankly stingy.
More than that. Difference in price is £600 and the difference in residuals is £819.08.I guess it makes sense because that spec is so basic that there is no reason to buy it unless you're frankly stingy.
An ambiance is 49p cheaper per month on a like for like basis with nil deposit.
You do the maths!

The 1.2 is quite flat, the new Tce engine is a lot better, for the small price increase it is well worth it.
The 1.5 Dci is the best 'all rounder' IMO.
If you take the finance, you get a £500 deposit contribution and the 5 year warranty, no reason you can't pay it off at a later date though.
There is a £99 fee on your first payment and a £149 option to purchase fee to factor in too. Take those and the monthly interest (if you settle after say 3 months) and it's still in your interest to take the finance and settle over paying 'cash'
