AC Cobra 427 advice
Discussion
Hi guys,
Looking at adding an ac cobra to the stable as it’s a car i always loved as a child.
My budget is around £50-60k and I don’t mind how old the car is.
Looking on auto trader there seems to be a lot at the £50k mark but the age/mileage vary wildly. Is this just a standard price they all put? Or is there a dream spec that makes older car worth the same as much newer ones?
I have an exige 350 as my track car so this is for sunny days and cruising. I would like it to be American powered and I love the 427.
Not fussed on it being 100% true to the original. Love the dax and ak cars.
Which makers/builders have the best reputation? Which have the best reliability? Do they all use similar parts?
One that has good handling and good brakes is a must so I can enjoy a hoon but reliability is key as I don’t want something that’s constantly being repaired.
I have tried to join cobra club but after 48 hours they still haven’t added me so I can post a thread.....

Thanks guy, I think the balance is finding a dealer that gives a good warranty and has a good reputation for a) honouring said warranty and b) a workshop that has ocd when it comes to doing the work.
Anywhere in surrey you know of tha fits the bill?
Sovereign seem to have good stock but there reviews seem questionable at best.
For £50k what sort of car should I expect in terms of age/mileage?
Want to go on cobra club but it’s now 4 days and they still haven’t added me despite verifying my account via email so can’t post anything.
