I have an old fibreglass kit car.

The body panel fit is awful as to be expected. Two panels rub when driving a cause a really irritating squeek. Any ideas how I can resolve it? Can I use a tape of some sort between them?

One panel is removable so I can't just fix it to the car better. The value of the car and my limited ability means extensive massaging of the panel is not an option.

Any ideas?

you've kingd of answered your own question - only options are either remove ( and refit better ) the panel in question
or, place somethning between them to minimise the friction - look for adhesive CCF foam tape - such as this here

Thanks. I'll take a look. I expect the body will receive some attention at some stage but the tape will do for now. The squeek is driving me nuts!
