Hi guys I have been really interested in this kit car for a very long time now but for some reason i dont see much of a hoo haa on it.

I mean whenever i check the net I find US or european sites with people building, showing off or selling K1 kits but not many in uk.

I was hoping to come across someone on here finally building one privately but have not yet come across anyone. I went to see Nandez K1 Attack a long while back and it just made me want to build one more.

Can someone tell me of their experience building one or know anyone building one privately?

I have been interested in this or the Murtaya but still not come across private builder who i could chat to

cheers

Hi guys thank you very much for the replies. I actually am well aware of Emma and her kit. I actually contacted her once, got one reply but none further. I remember when she waited for her kit also.

I guess most of you are right that K1 is all for looks and not much else and I would agree hence the reason Im really tempted to go for the Murtaya. Another reason would be that since I have owned two Stis and a P1 it would be slightly easier for me to work with wink on top of which I would know a thing or two more about it.

I think the K1 as Ive seen is a very unreliable choice especially due to communication issues with the company. I did however contact them around about the same time as Emma got her kit but never heard from them in reply. Sort of give me an idea of what the company is like really.

The only slight thing holding me back from the Murtaya is that im not too keen on the front end. Love the rest of the car but I think the interior and front end could do with a little change, but thats just my personal experience.

Btw I know this is a step too soon and maybe one that sounds silly but how possible is it for a car enthusiast to make his own kit i.e. his own styled kit?

Cheers

That is the biggest problem Dave. I prefer something more sleak like the K1 or even the Murtaya bar the front end. But its all about how a non car designer gets a design in his mind on paper. And from that big step building a shell.

Right regarding the Murtaya front end. I dont know how to put it but its just that it doesnt seem to suit the rear of the car. However when looking at the morette type lights on the blue Murtaya, it doesnt look bad at all

Hi Neil, after looking at the Murtaya a little closely based on pics and specs I guess the front end is bubbly as it is for a reason. Even with the Top mount intercooler the font end would have to sit higher as there is an addition on top of the engine bay likewise I guess you cant do much.

Regarding a car from sketch. I know this much that I can get some form of designs together by myself but have always wondered how you guys build shells according to a design on paper.
