Ooh now I can post on this forum! First Question..
Discussion
I just bought a pre lit Westy - here it is:
It has a 1658cc crossflow.... so for a bit more reliability, I thought about a 1800 or 2000 zetec - any idea how much or if this is a good idea? I absolutely adore it already! I experienced my first proper oversteer, and have never driven anything so fast!

The Crossflow is a ford unit - came in a few capacities over the years. Most common are the 1300, 1300GT (more power?), 1600 and 1700. IIRC they can be sourced from early Ford Escorts, although these are becoming harder and harder to find.
So the 1.7 is basically bored out version of the 1.6?
Or is it from a different family of engines?
my 1.7 is a bored out 1600GT - you will wet yourself when you try it!
