Has anyone on here built one? I have Googled it a few times and all I can ever find is the original stuff published on the web when the car first appeared, even the Westfield site content does not seem to have changed for yonks? are they still available?

When I saw one reviewed on Top Gear thought it would be a winner, but looks like it didnt really take off?

Isn't it an old design repackaged by Westfield?

I believe a Radical is a lot better and used ones don't seem to cost the earth.
The XTR2 was a new design, mid mounted hyabusa engine with chain drive.

The XTR4 was a redesign of the XTR2 with audi turbo engine, but I've not heard much about the XTR4's recently. I've only seen three, not sure how many more there were of them.
That's what I thought, the Westfield XTR2 was a new design, at the time the Radical was already around and a tried and tested formula, I guess the XTR2 is the only kit you can build yourself that comes anywhere near the performance of a Radical so would actually work out quite a bit cheaper that the latest new Radicals, but presumably with some compromises as it is designed to be easily made street legal.

Having said all that, Im still very surprised more kit car builders have not gone down this route, last time I looked at the price im sure it was in the low teens, not including Hyabusa lump, more that a westfield - seven clone with a similar engine, but still good value surely?

By the way, I'm not on a comission to Westfield tying to boost sales, I just fancy building something in the near future and thought the XTR2 sounds like a good idea just wondered why more have not been built.
