Headlight Question
Discussion
Hi all,
Has anyone got these fitted?
http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/4-inch-satin-black-head...
And have you got through a UK MOT with them on?.
I ask because I went to get my tracking adjusted today and the chappie who was doing it mentioned that he didn`t think these would be good enough to pass the MOT test, I have some months before it needs the test so I do have time to fit a different sort if needed. The car is a Westy btw.

Yes thanks all for the comments guys. I left out some info on the first post on purpose ( just to get owners reactions), the chap said that the beam pattern was incorrect and that this would not pass a UK MOT. I like the idea of the `kick up` of the lenses.
I may well have the original HUGE ones that are standard, as I got a boxfull of spares with the car, A trip up to the loft here we come.

VOSA advise that a flat beam dip is allowed under IVA construction and use rules but could not advise if this would pass an MOT.
I thought they were the same organisation so that is another area where it becomes difficult for us mere mortals to comply with rules.
My line with the MOT man would be that VOSA pass it under IVA so it must comply with construction and use so what other criteria does it not comply with.

Good point Steve, having never been through the IVA process I cant comment , but this would be good test case for someone that has just passed . It does seem odd that IVA accept them and the MOT does not. I thought they were the same organisation so that is another area where it becomes difficult for us mere mortals to comply with rules.
