Thanks for the info guys. All duly noted.

Does anyone know the reg or have any updates on the yellow one that sold on eBay in January 2012 by the way?

what about this one, they talk about Vixen 2500 but on the rear it says Tuscan V6

is it a Vixen gone Tuscan? or is it a Tuscan V6

An interesting web site which I wasn't aware of before - thanks for this. As for 2500 or Tuscan, I certainly can't tell.

This one was LBY6K, a rhd 2500 here being driven by it's than owner Jim Oliver at the Cadwell Park track day in 1989. It has now been rebuilt by David Gerald and has a 5 litre Rover V8 and is registered FOX1G.

Oliver.
Wonderful photo Oliver and interesting history. The car still seems to be taxed and MOT'd. One more for the listsmile

I 'found' a few more last night.

Does anyone recognise this car, the location or have any idea of what the registration might be?

The next few are of Michael Parden racing a 2500.

This last one tugs at the heart strings. I think there's something sad but undeniably beautiful about cars like this.

The DVLA site states it's been untaxed for 19 years. I hope it gets the love and attention it deserves soon.

Great photos and interesting info Oliver. Many thanks again.

It's a little surprising that UKW 366K, being then low mileage, hasn't been taxed for over 25 years. Perhaps it's been exported.

I forgot this one, MWE71K. My mate warren resprayed it black with grey sills, but he had sold it by the time I met him and I only saw it once or twice. This was taken in June 1986. I have seen a photo of it since, about 20 years ago and it had changed colour again, think it was red.

Oliver.
Another great photo and interesting details. Thanks again Oliver, it's much appreciated.

Doug Manuel had a Mexico brown one back in the 70s, which he first fitted the PI system from a 2500PI and later went the whole hog and fitted a Ford V8.......Anyone know if that is still around? He painted it RR regal red. I think I have a picture of it when still brown, but I do not remember the number.
Thanks for the info. If possible, it would be great if you could post a scan of the photo.

Cheers,

Chris

Just received a couple of updates:

CJH 40K is Moss Green - a Rootes / Chrysler colour and is thought to have never been repainted. It will soon be receiving some TLC which is great news.

HUV 3K is Black.

Many thanks Jim,

Since the last update, the TVRCC Secretary has stated that according to the Factory records, 81 right hand drive 2500s were built.

I've been reliably informed that there is also a light blue RHD 2500 in New Zealand.

Yesterday I spotted a couple of pics on the Facebook Time Line Photos section. Does anyone recognise the car below? It looks like the reg ends in '25K'.

Second photo from Facebook. Does anyone know any details about the car? The DVLA site states it's colour is orange.

Third one from Facebook. Again, anyone know any details? Could the lucky lad possibly be Rob Ingleby?

Many thanks to Mervyn, Stew and whoever posted the pics on Facebook.

Two more cars have recently been confirmed as 2500s.

Firstly, this lovely red one. It was bought in the UK in 2002 and was previously registered as GLK 408J. It now resides in the Emerald Isle. Graham, the current owner would be interested in any history that may come to light. If anyone recognises the car or UK reg, please get in touch.

Also, this racy yellow example which lives in the Netherlands. The last UK registration is currently unknown. Again, if anyone recognises the car or has contact details of the current owner, please get in touch.

Thanks as always to Rene and Andrew, Kurzew the spotter, Jerry and Graham.

AC Roney has had several 2500s in the last few years. I emailed him a while ago with a few questions. No reply yet sadly.

I also hope the white 2500 has been saved. Thanks for the pics.

I 'found' this one on a web site I haven't seen before.

http://www.tvrfiles.co.uk/index.htm

The photos were taken at a kit car show in Knockhill.

The car now seems to be registered as a 5 litre. If anyone knows any more details please get in touch.

This next one is now in Germany but the photos don't show it's current registration, which is unknown at present. The first pic shows the car in a previous light green colour and the second in it's current dark blue hue. Many thanks to Axel for the details.

This next one is now registered as a 4 litre. The web site I found it on labelled it as a 2500 but not all of the descriptions are accurate. I'd be grateful if anyone can clarify what the car was originally.

And finally LYV 143K. This one is registered as a 2500.

If anyone has any details on right hand drive 2500s I'd be very interested to hear from you.

Thanks,

Chris

A few more updates:

The UK reg of the blue car below, which is now in Germany is OEV 479K.

This next one, according to the Vixen Register is currently in Denmark. It was bought from Stoke On Trent back in 2005. The UK reg is XBA 55K.

The white car MRA 719J, (shown in the previous post) registered with a 4 litre V8 was originally a 1600 Vixen, so it's off the list sadly.

According to the Vixen Register, there is a 2500 in Stockport but very few details are given. The reg for this one is FRE 878K.

The yellow one LYV 143K, shown in the previous post has now turned up in Germany with a Rover V8 installed. Thanks to Andrew for spotting this and to Oliver and Mervyn for confirming it was originally a 2500 - there was some confusion over the chassis number.

Finally, I 'found' this red one (below) somewhere on the web. I don't have a reg number or any details. If anyone recognises the car please let me know.

Many thanks to Richard, Andrew, Oliver, Mervyn and who ever took the above photos.

My friend Angela and I owned GLK 408J between 1995 and 2001. We bought it from a man in Aberdeen and drove it home from there to Hockley nr Southend where we lived at the time! The Triumph 2500 engine was a bit wheezy and drank oil but we had it rebuilt by BM Racing in Southend in 1996/7 which improved it enormously. We sold it to an Irish guy in 2001 or 2002. I have a couple of photos which I'm happy to share if anyone's interested.
Thanks for your post. It's always great to hear some 2500 info. I'd very much like to see the photos.

Cheers,

Chris
