Does anyone know who bought 650 KTF sold say 1 year ago. The chassis number is 7/FS/112 and at some time in its life it was rebodied with Mk2 rear.

The registration number is from Lancashire and the chassis number is quite early possibly indicating it was built say Feb / March 1959. If possible I'd like to find out details of the first owner(s) and when the Mk2 body was put on the chassis. I understand that the car had quite extensive notes of its history when sold.

Thank you for your help.

Car was for sale as far back as 2012. Not sure you have he build date correct? I have the original buff log book and mine has a build date of Nov. 1959.
Best,
D.
Exact dates seem to be difficult to determine, but Alex Saidel has a register which shows 7/FS/106 to be built Feb 1959, Tony Bracegirdle's car 7/FS/115 was completed from a kit in June 1959. It seems slightly odd that yours 7/FS/114 was built November 1959. Maybe the person who built and then registered your car took his time, whereas Tony Bracegirdle built the kit immediately so he could race at Silverstone in early July 1959. Equally, the cars may not have come out of the factory in sequence Derek Bracegirdle's Coventry Climax engined car had an earlier chassis number than his brothers but was delivered as a kit / and built in August 1959.

November 1959 does seem late for 7/FS/114 the first Mk2's appeared racing in June 1960. Out of interest does the log book say who the first owner was.

I know this car and its fascinating history well. The current owner has had it for about three years and he has invested a lot of time and money in it. It is now in very nice condition. I believe he is thinking of selling in order to move on to a new project. If you PM me I can pass on contact details.

Richard,

You don't appear to be able to receive emails - I'd very interested in the early history - can please pass on my contact details to your contact.

Thank you

Anyone know the new owner - I'd like to invite him to the Grantura f/b group.
