Hello all, been digging around trying to find what the offset was on the Vixen oe fin type alloys. Closest i have found is that the backspace is 75mm. As they are 5.5" rims I reckon that they are somewhere between ET -10 to ET -15. Does anyone have a definitive value? I measured my 6" wires (with bolt on adaptors) as just under ET -20. I believe that TR6 is ET +6. Apols if i have missed the info somewhere!

Looking to swap my less than perfectly concentric wires for a decent set of alloys & want to make sure I've got all of the info.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve, thanks for measuring! Much appreciated.

Think the general rule of thumb is an extra inch (25.4mm) for overall rim width vs tyre fitting width. Based on 170mm wide then that's 30mm assuming a 5.5" (140mm vs 170mm) rim so certainly in the right ballpark. The 10mm inset & 75mm backspace are the key figures for me anyway.

Just need to find some suitable wheels now as I really don't want to run spacers.... not much choice for 6" rims with ET -10 though...usual suspects for custom alloys I guess.

Thanks again.

Stew.

Yes Minilites seem to be the vanilla choice (to be fair they do suit most cars!). Not aware of anyone other than Image who do them in an ET minus value though hence the need for spacers (happy to be corrected though!).

I really like the look of my wires but they are a maintenance overhead & I'm not a great fan of the bolt on adaptor setup.

Cheers,

Stew.
