Is it possible to remove the tranny from a 2500m without pulling the motor/tranny out? Can it be done fromunderneath?

Thanks all....got tranny out last night....had lost clutch action totally, and some fingers weren't contacting release bearing so figured it was diaphram spring..turns out the pressure plate lining material had split and half had come off totoally..it stakced on remaining, so threw off pressure on fingers...har was up on jackstands, and lowered engine angle an inch or two at back, blocked it and slid tranny back and off...no doubt back on will be more of challenge but beter then undoing all motor stuff...thanks again...
