Only a week away now.

Last year Lewis managed to get the lead right at the end, Webber had a brilliant drive from the back to the podium and Jenson had an early dice with Lewis.

Will the McLarens be the ones to beat here?

Was the Ferrari's pace a one off due to the conditions in Malaysia?

How many times will EJ try and link Perez to Ferrari on the live BBC coverage?

Did I mention the live BBC coverage this weekend? biggrin

For those enjoying seeing someone lead the championship without winning anything, can I just say that I preferred the Lewis that could race *and* win championships. smile
Plenty of time for that.

How many races did Hawthorn and Rosberg win in their championship years?

Is that the BBC set up under the Conservative Administration of 1927?
84 years ago my grandfather was 1 year old.

He's changed quite a lot in that time, I think a business/corporation/government department can do the same. rolleyes

Most successful non-driver in F1?

Brawn or Newey or Other?
Still Ron Dennis. 10 WDCs, god knows how many WCCs.
Newey has 8 WDCs.
Even Enzo only had 8 WDCs.

Mind you, Frank and Patrick have had 7 WDCs together.

Ron's the man.

They all pale into insignificance when compared to the flip at Monza on the last lap, whereby the chap, (can't remember who), got flipped, then slid over the finish line!
Andretti 1993.

Although Derek Warwick slid a Camel Lotus across the line there once iirc.

I bet that gave him memories of Le Mans in 1999 when he went over twice, this was the morning warm up one but he also did it during practice as well - http://www.mulsannescorner.com/benzCLR1.html then when Dumbreck did it in the race Mercedes pulled out.
Merc souldn't even have started the race, let alone been allowed to start.

It happened to Porsche the same year (or was it 1998?) in the American Le Mans series. Bad formula for the cars.

That's it. Christian Fittipaldi.

Him and Andretti Jr were equally forgettable in F1.

IIRc in Hawthorn's case a quarter of the number of races that Stirling won, with Rosberg he won one less than the the highest number of wins scored that season. smile
Well, so far we could well be on for a repeat of '82. smile

3 winners from 3 races. smile

Didn't I hear Ross Brawn say something about individual wheel nuts sending a signal ( I must admit I wasn't listening fully as he said it) and that an error signal had produced a green light?
BBC commentary alluded to such a system I think. A false signal sounds plausible if that's the case.
Yeah I remember this being mentioned on the BBC coverage.
It looked to me like the wheel gun failed, the mech took the gun off the wheel which triggered the green light, then when he went to try with the spare gun the car was moving.
