Not seen story on Beeb or Planet F1 yet, guess they're waiting to confirm authenticity....

Well, well, well: I guess I was a bit too hasty & the F1times boys were ahead of the game. I can't help be curious about the FIA & other teams response though: essentially, we've got a statement declaring that RB won with an illegal car in the last race - which surely should invalidate the race results????

I really like Webber & it would be shame to lose the race win, but that's what should happen: if the car is deemed illegal, its illegal. End of story. Result cannot stand. At the risk of sounding sensationalist I wonder what the outcome would be had it been Hamilton/McLaren in the Mosely era....

He means it has already been explained that the Red Bulls were legal at Moncao because they passed scrutineering and there was no protest.

The "statement" is that the hole in the Red Bull floors is not allowed by the rules.

That is subtly but significantly different to a statement saying Red Bull won with an illegal car.
I've read the link RYH64E refers to but it doesn't shine an awful lot more light on the subject of RB illegality/Monaco. I don't want Webber to lose his spot (or Vettel his 4th) but I'm still interested in the apparent inequality of a car being ruled illegal (however small the infringment) yet retaining significant race results results whilst racing in the same trim.
