G20 Junior, Power output of 1.4 zetec se
Discussion
we recently bought a g20 junior (irish-cup) coupé fitted with the original ginetta(still sealed) 1.4 zetec se engine (full alloy) running on the original DAT ECU. mapping is correct.
the engine should develop around 90-100 horsepower.
we drove it last weekend the first time on the track. poweroutput was a bit disapointing....it felt quite feeble.
on the other side: 90horses are not that much.
are we too critical or are those the facts?
engine-upgrade wont be a problem as we still have some budget left and we do not need to keep this engine for race regulations.
would a duratec be a straight fit? i mean enginemounts, bellhousing?

not correct:
the ST170 engine has the exhaust on passenger side and inlet on driver side (RWD, UK-car)
the 1.4L fully allyo zetec Se engine has the exhaust on the driver side and inlet on the passenger side...the same as a 2.0 litre ford HE Duratec
