I didn't see a current thread running for this, so here we are...

I wonder if we will see less three wheeled cars this weekend?

Would be nice to see Reliant and Morgan as manufacturers...

I can imagine it now... Potato complaining about the turn-in on his factory Reliant Robin (although arguably, still faster than the Levorgs wink )

Thoughts are with Billy monger at this time. Horror crash. Hopefully his injuries aren't too serious and it won't affect his racing career going forwards. frown

Watching the Morgan overtake again, not sure why the stewards had a dim view? Was in control at all times and less than 50% of the car was off the circuit, due to shedden pushing him out

I guess it is all about track elevation. If you have that kind of impact on an incline, would physics rule that the car is more likely to submarine than take flight?

It could have been damage caused in an earlier race - sure, but anything that has a large impact on ride height will also have an impact on the centre of gravity and give a clear advantage...

The damage (if any) would be more chassis, subframe, suspension etc, rather than bodywork. They may not have been able to check if the damage itself was caused before the first red flag, not sure if they can tweak and refine suspension settings whilst on the grid for a restart, but rules are rules.

That is so, so sad frown I'm glad that he survived the accident as it was one of the worst I have ever seen, but those injuries will be absolutely life changing for him frown
