Looking forward to the next round at Thruxton. It will be an interesting weekend if wheels are still falling off the wagons. All the cars will be sporting the #billywhiz hashtag too in support of Billy monger.

I reckon Jeff Smith will be one to watch this weekend.

It is a bit futile for BMR to keep pointing the finger at TOCA for the car's performance when one of their drivers is consistently outperforming the rest of the team and putting the car at the sharper end of the grid, whilst everybody else flounders around the mid-back. If the car was THAT bad, Ash would also be right at the back with everybody else, surely?

BMR put all of their eggs in one basket with the Subarus. They are slower in a straight line, nowhere near the best chassis on the grid (when placed on a level playing field) and the ONLY discernible advantage was the lower centre of gravity that the boxer engine gave it. Deciding to forego the development of a "less quirky" chassis and playing a wildcard was always going to be a risky move. They would have better served developing four passats IMHO.

Mind you, Ash Sutton is clearly a very talented driver and seems to be carrying the team forward. I wonder if he is the team guinea pig for car setups?

Lloyd not happy with the new barrier setup at Church. He is right - nowhere near enough run off straight into armco. Most cars will be doing 100mph+ around Church and if everything goes pear shaped, an off is going to hurt (at best). Better than the "launch ramp" we have seen over the last couple of years, but considering that over the last couple of years, many cars have left the circuit at church, it would make sense to have something a little bit softer to hit when a car inevitably leaves the circuit.

The problem is though that before these rule changes, Plato was always at the sharper end of the grid. He knows how to drive the car and how to drive it fast. It doesn't make sense.

I was speaking to a friend yesterday and they confirmed that Plato is looking for a way out of BMR. Apparently he's not liked by anyone in the team and him and Warren Scott just blank each other now.
Does this friend work for BMR, or another team with insight into the inner workings of BMR?

If true, it doesn't surprise me. You have to have a modicum of charisma and a solid work ethic to work as part of any team, let alone a racing team.

Olly are you suggesting JP is the deficient person in this? Just curious...
I'm not suggesting anything, just saying that it wouldn't surprise me based on the comments above. In terms of the comments about work ethic, if the above comments are true, I wouldn't call "finishing last to prove a point" a "good work ethic" to be honest.
