Busy weekend next weekend, Monaco GP + support series, Indy 500 with some Spanish guy racing in it, NASCAR run their longest race of the year, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Speedway.

To add to that the Nurburgring 24 hour takes place over Saturday & Sunday. You might remember last year's race, when this happened not long after the start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWfk3QEbeKQ

I'm sure the teams will be hoping to avoid the chaos that ensued! Here's some highlights of the entire race https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djZToFEFw_0

This years entry list looks very busy, with a fair few brits entered, including Alex Lynn, who wrote a brief preview here: http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/05/02/alex-lynn...
I think someone's having him on about it normally being dry !

Full entry list: http://www.nuerburgring.de/uploads/media/17-05-05-...
Schedule: http://www.nuerburgring.de/uploads/media/NEUES_Log...

Last year the race was streamed on you tube (with english commentary) and apparently this years race will be as well. Here's the official channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/ADACZurich24hRennen

Last year the NISMO channel streamed it too: https://www.youtube.com/user/nismotv2013 the entire race form last year is on their, but I guess they won't be doing it this year as they are not on the entry list, which is a little odd. Hopefully they are a late entry and will stream it.

Radio Lemans also provided commentary and I believe will also be doing so this year.

I'll add more links and info as I can find it.

Live stream as per Chris's link. If you fancy a look at what's been going on so far the same channel has the qualifying streams : https://www.youtube.com/user/vodafonedeutschland/v...

There is a further qualifying session at 18:50 local time today (Friday).

Audi don't look pleased hehe

Westphal made that happen, the other car was 8 seconds off.

They probably don't want to tie up a channel for 24 hours I suppose.

For the most part if its not F1 motorsport is invisible to the average punter. There's a hell of a lot of GT racing that goes on we don't see. This race actually has a bunch of support races too, they don't even stream those.

  1. 10 Audi out after collision with the same clio that hit the porsche at the start. #10 with puncture and broken steering was very lucky to avoid one of the Gickenhaus as it slewed across the track.
  1. 44 Falken Porsche is back in the pits and being worked on.

It was a Cayman that it was close to hitting. Very close!
Well spotted, stupidly I just believed Martin Haven rolleyes they need a shift change to get rid of him I think!

Was a bit scary when the audi slew across the track.

Great thinking for the #5 car, sending a new tyre out so it could get back.

Falken #44 is done it seems frown

Manta retired frown radiator got holed in that incident and cooked the engine apparently.

Alex Lynn's car (#43 BMW) has at best gone missing, likely retired.

Waiting to see on the Glickenhaus, damage looked fairly extensive.

Straight out of the "you couldn't make it up" book for the #29 team. Some great racing and entertainment (especially once Haven is off mic). Good effort by Catsburg (I think) in the 98 slithering around to get 2nd.

Hopefully next year the Manta will make it to the end!
