Well, here we go again. Two wet FP sessions down in Yorkshire, with Ash Sutton being the fastest in both, and Plato up at the sharp end as well. Reports of quite a few cars slithering off at the chicane, with Ingram damaging his car enough in FP1 that he missed FP2. Hondas and MGs also going well. Quali is on the ITV site at 15.45. Will be interesting to see how Strandberg gets on in the Maximum Focus.

Either things are running behind schedule, or someone at ITV forgot to hit the "transmit" button.

That was one of the nastiest situations I've seen at a BTCC race in a long time. Hope Taylor-Smith is ok. I think two or three of those cars could be done for the weekend.

Taylor-Smith out and on the way to hospital after being briefly knocked out. Davenport and Jeff Smith being cut out of their cars; no life-threatening injuries, according to Alan Gow.

Davenport went over the grass at the previous corner; the speculation from the commentators is that he probably ripped something off the bottom of the car, possibly even the sump, and dropped oil all over the track.

Ooft. A lot of damage, and not a team that wanted another bent car.
