Close championship this year, but good luck to Ash Sutton, although it's too close to call at this stage.

The "boost" argument rages on, will the Subarus continue to enjoy their extra, I wonder?

The Swindon-engined cars actually had their boost reduced at Rockingham, and needless to say, there are a lot of unhappy Team Principals muttering under their breath.

With the TCR series looming, I'd have though that they would be the people TOCA would be trying to keep happy?

BTCC becomes a (very poor quality) soap opera:

Jason Plato (today on Silverstone circuit radio):

“We’ve had our engines turned down yet again, so we’re going to struggle on the straights,” said Plato to the circuit radio after practice.

“We’re losing four car lengths on the back straight. There’s no point in grumbling about it, I just don’t understand what the rules are anymore, but we’re having fun.”

He doesn't understand the rules? Oh, yes he does! He certainly understands the politics. I see he's offering no comment on the extra boost his Subarus have been enjoying on recent rounds?

At last TOCA has listened to the other teams. It's finally dawned on TOCA that the TCR series is looming.

leave it down the engine builders to get their engines producing the best power they can within the regs.
But it's (meant) to be a "performance balanced" series. Thus the engine builders cannot produce "more powerful" engines than the rest of the grid. Torque is a different thing though, which is why the Hondas perform so well even with full ballast.

The joke is, despite Tayto's protestations, all the Swindon-engined cars had their boost reduced at Rockingham. Now TOCA, explain that one.

The majority of teams/fans alike are sick of the boost situation and Plato's bhing if it isn't in BMR's favour. Let's face it he spent 2/3's of this year refusing to speak to the media while things weren't going well.

TOCA need to set a boost level next year and leave it down the engine builders to get their engines producing the best power they can within the regs.
Yes, and he spent all of last season bhing about the quick starts the RWD cars got - but now he's got one he doesn't mention it any more! (Just for clarity, I'm not a fan of his)!
You're a bit behind the times.

I think you'll find he had a RWD car last season.
