Hello guys, first time starting a discussion so here goes!
I would love to get into go kart racing and the mechanical side that comes with it. I want to get a runabout kart that I will NOT be competing with. I just want to learn the basics of both racing the kart and maintaining it before taking the plunge and buying a more expensive kart.
What kind of things should I be looking to buy. What price range,power,chassis etc? Id like to keep costs under £800 if possible (not taking into account paying for track time / trailer etc ) just kart and parts. I am 22 and weigh around 100 kg. Once again this will be a kart that I will use purely to learn the basics of racing / maintaining it. I will not be competing with it.
