WEC hypercar power limit

So with the latest round of WEC rules limiting the power output to 750Bhp

we now have the slightly ridiculous prospect of the racing car being considerably slower than the road car upon which its based?

sadly I think the 750 is the total power from whatever source

the Valkyrie for example will have to be seriously de-tuned and it has an electric motor in the road car too
