Critical analysis and discussion of 2021 races and season only please. If you watched a race a couple of years ago and couldn't get into it, your opinion is off-topic and boring smile

After an uneventful first round we've had two very dramatic and entertaining races; although niether reached the most satisfying climax finishing as they did, behind the safety car.

Sam Bird leads the championship, but will his fearless overtaking mean he inevitably gets into one too many incidents somewhere along the way? But the field is also incredibly closely matched, with at least six teams being in genuine contension for wins, the championship is still wide open and impossible to predict.

Two points of frustration:
Rowland got a penalty today for over-use of power - this seems to be completely outside of the drivers' control - surely there must be a better way to enforce this regulation.
How can there be a manhole cover slightly off line that will launch a car off the ground and out of the race?

Of course the organisers need to ensure something like this doesn't happen again any time soon but as a viewer, I tuned in to hopefully watch something dramatic, and I got something dramatic.

How many safety cars has Lottera caused this season? 3 from 5 races?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a bit of drama during a race, but three quarters of the field running out of juice before the end of the race because FE have decided to reduce everyone’s power allocation isn’t drama, it’s a joke!
It's not important whether you call it drama or a joke. My point is that it doesn't really matter that this happened - no such thing as bad publicity etc - so long as the organisers fix the rules.

I dip into FE from time to time. Every single random time without fail I have watched a race there has always been:

...

C) Someone running out of power.

...
You're very unluck because that hardly every happens.

I looked up the race start time on the FE website and pretty sure it said 1600 BST so very dissapointed to look up the live feed on BBC Sport only to find them crowning the winner.

I don't know why they have to make it so hard to look up the race schedule.

Double header race weekend, Saturdays race was 4pm.

I expect they're plotting around other Motorsport/sports events that might kill live viewing figures.
Saturday's race was 1pm.
