History in the Making

Momentous day for TVR

It's been a historic day for TVR in America. Racing there in the Sebring 12 hour race, a T400R run by Salisbury based Race Sport with backing from the TVR factory not only finished but finished with a credible result and with no major mechanical problems.

TVR veteran drivers Richard Stanton, Richard Hay and Rob Barff brought the car home seventh in class. The gruelling race ran relatively smoothly for the team with only a minor electrical problem delaying things towards the end.

Finishing so well in Sebring bodes very well for TVR's hopes to return to Le Mans in 2003. A good show at Sebring means that an invitation to race at Le Mans is very likely which is fantastic news for TVR fans around the world.

To finish is a great achievement. To finish so well in its debut outing for the team is a great credit to all involved. This is going to be an exciting and historic year!

I think a rather large round of applause is called for.

Very well done.
