Well if they leave it this late to ask for help, and then make no mention on their website about how to marshal for them, i'm hardly surprised they're having problems.

I'll be marshalling at Prescott that weekend anyhow, and most others will be doing the CART race at Brands.

I believe all marchalls get a certain amount off avon tyres anyway. Not had a chance to test the theory yet.

Octagon in thier usual efficent way only informed JCC of the change (to the international cct) last Thursday, having known about it for at least 3 months, and told all the other organising clubs at that time.

I belive only another ~12 marshals are needed? seems a real shame to can a meeting for 12 people...




I would imagine a quick call to the BARC would get them a list of all the people who have applied for brands that weekend but were turned down.

It does surprise me how much better the marshalling could be run in this country. It's getting better, but it's still very difficult to find out how to do what and when.

Castle Combe is about the only track in the country that is over subscribed for marshals.
