Interlagos is a technically demanding driver's circuit. Stuff here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_Grand_Prix
It was notoriously bumpy but has just been resurfaced. This will favour Ferrari as their suspension doesn't work on bumps as well as the McLaren's. So presumably it was the FIA who did the resurfacing.

The weather forecasts are all over the place. This is the norm in Sao Paulo. You cannot believe what the weather will be till the race starts. But there is a reasonable chance of a wet race.

Tyres will probably be softs and super softs if it is dry. This will favour Kimi who seems to be able to make them last longer. Hamilton gets through rears very quickly when he is pushed so it is not such good news for him.

Kimi also has the advantage of a team mate who will be helping him.

My Prediction

1) Kimi
2) Massa
3) Vettel

Hamilton DNF
Alonso DNF

10% of rain is not IMO a reasonable chance. idea In other words there's a 90% chance it WON'T rain.!!!!!rolleyes

so why aren't the quote thingymebobs working......

You didn't read what I wrote. It is normal for Sao Paulo weather forecasts to be all over the place. So your 10% from one forecaster counts for nothing. Look at this video to see why http://br.weather.com/maps/regioesdomundo/intlamer...

In 2003 they were forecasting a dry race right up till saturday night, and you know what happened then. So like I said, only believe the weather when you see the start of the race.

This is a Ferrari circuit since the bumps were removed.

I think Massa will be on pole with a very light car with Kimi second on the grid and heavier. Kimi will then "overtake" Massa and build a huge lead whilst Massa unexplainedly slows down and doesn't let the McMercs past (he has previous with both so will be very happy doing this).

Without incident it will finish Kimi, Massa, Alonso, Hamilton. The number one driver in each team leading his team-mate.
But I expect an incident. As do 99% of the people reading this.

Fastest lap Alonso when he gets some clean air and the bit between his teeth.

So McLaren's crafty plan to keep Kimi off pole worked.

Meanwhile watch out for tyres being a big element in deciding the race.
Interlagos has been resurfaced and it seems to be eating tyres.
Both the softs and the supersofts are losing speed very quickly after just a few laps. And they are graining. So conserving tyres will be very important. And we saw how good Lewis was at this at Silverstone and in China.

Except that they didn't... they cheated and got punished. No amount of sticking your fingers in your ears and claiming otherwise is going to change that.
We're not sticking our fingers in our ears, we're holding our noses - to protect them from the stench that Max Mosley left on the whole season.
Mere vulgar abuse.
As usual from you.
Don't you realise that you can be sued for libel for what you post here?
I would like that.

McMerc cheated and still lost.
Even putting Hamilton out to disrupt Kimi's flying lap in Q3 didn't work in the end.

Next year, without Alonso to make the cars work, McMerc won't even be in the top three teams. Hamilton will have to wait a few years for his WDC. If it ever comes his way.

Meanwhile Ferrari won this year fair and square because they were the best.

The FIA destroyed this year

Ferrari - scored in Australia with a totally illegal car - found out an proved - no penalty
(no difference from BAR a few years back with an illegal fuel tank -except that BAR lost their points and got a 2 race ban - think that's correct)

Really even if u support ferrari - surely a little part of you go "fix", in the back on yr minds

Kimi did good - he's a good racer - just wants to raise and totally dis'd Todt on the podium smile
Mclaren won the sporting Constuctors
Ferrari won the FIA CONstructors

Lewis won the sporting drivers championship
Kimi won the FIA drivers CHUMPionship.

Ferrari ran illeagl cars for the first race and the points don't count to those that care.

Lets hope the FIA implodes this winter.

Congratulations McLaren, for having so much of your car in the first two cars that crossed the line.
Bad loser. But still a loser.

I'm just trying to think, has he overtaken anyone without the aid of pitstops this year?
I suggest you watch a few of the races. It might help you with the answer to this.

I can recall LH's great moves around the outside in the first couple of races, and his absolutely stunning move on Kimi in Italy. (One of the single greatest overtakes of all time, surely?)
Surely not.
Kimi had a 180mph hour crash the day before and his neck was giving him huge pain.
His team had radioed him to tell him not to mount the kerbs, something that is critical in Italy.
And he was on old tyres.

Hamilton had no neck or kerb problems and was on fresh tyres.
It was not a very special overtake.

However Kimi and Alonso both overtook Hamilton at the beginning of the Brazilian GP, when everything was even. A far better measurement of class.

In F1 I support drivers, not manufacturers.
I supported Kimi at McLaren and Alonso at Renault.
They are the two best drivers in F1, but for different reasons.

Some of the rookies look good but time will tell.

For I believe the only time this season, Raikkonen got off the line better than any of the other 21 drivers. If that had anything to do with class in Formula One, Don Prudhomme would have won several WDCs.
Alonso got the chance to overtake Hamilton because Raikkonen lifted off when he was directly in front of Hamilton, forcing Hamilton to brake. Alonso was just lucky to be off line at the time.

Nice try.
I suggest that you try watching the races.
Kimi has overtaken off the grid several times this season.
Fact.

I definitely think you are right about Kimi lifting off so Alonso could get past Hamilton. Revenge for Hamilton spoiling Kimi's Q3 flyer. Justice done.

The point is Williams and Sauber were cheating as were Farrari in the first race End of story.

Looks like you only get punished for cheating if your Mclaren! FIA rule 2378
furious
Actually Hamilton is the one who is teflon coated and who gets away with everything.
At Brazil he illegally scrubbed in a second set of wets and he impeded Kimi's Q3 flying lap. Both of which he escaped unpunished, despite FIA precedents for punishing these offences..

I'm sure i'm wrong, but i'm struggling to think of any great Kimi moves this season.
How about around the blind overtake around the outside of Coulthard in the rain in Japan, at 120+mph? I thought that was pretty special.

When 'team Hamilton' become bigger than McLaren (not that far off IMO) daddy Hamilton will be spouting all sorts of crap against 'The team' when things go wrong.
I hadn't thought of that y'know. What happens in the future when McLaren make a duff car for a season, or go off the boil?

Slanging matches between Anthony Hammy and Ron Dennis?
McLaren will be running third at best next year if they lose Alonso and after they take all the Ferrari IP out of the car. Just as they were in the year before they got Alonso.
