As the title says. Preferably within an hour of Liverpool - what with the attention spans of kids these days.

The EVO triangle is a bit too far in this instance, but anything even remotely similar or even just vaguely entertaining would be good.

Cheers,
Bergun.

I would of said Noth Wales (missing the EVO Triangle out) but you have ruled the area out. North Wales is my default for a pre-breakfast run spring-autumn on dry weekends.

If out for a drive just because I've not used the car for a bit I will go Simmonswood, Aughton, Halsall early doors.
That sounds interesting. So from Simonswood over the M58 past the Derby Arms...

Cheers.

Look at the area between Liverpool, Southport and Ormskirk. Further afield, the Forest of Bowland and towards Pilling.

Ps. And W Lancs Moors

Any specific routes in Forest of Bowland you'd recommend (don't know the area at all)?

Look for the scenic drives and "quiet lanes" to pootle along. There aren't that many roads in Bowland. The Trough of Bowland can be entertaining.
Will have to try this on my own - just to get the lie of the land. Ta.

If you are looking to entertain the kids and get something car related in try the Scotch Piper on a monday night, I also think the Cornerhouse in Wrightington may have a meet on Sunday (first Sunday of the month IIRC).
Cheers for the tips - these look good.
