got the job of organising the club's annual 4 day trip and they have chosen yorkshire with a base in Skipton. So with one day getting there and one day getting back, that leaves me wih two days to fill withshoritsh drives either on nice driving roads or to places of interest. Bunch of supercars so sigle lane passing place type roads arent really suitable but open moorland with no plod insight - thats different!

ideas please

If you get good weather it's beautiful up here. This is the "classic" Dales loop:

Sounds like you want a tour not necessarily balls-out driving? For driving, this loop is a 6am start latest on a Sunday and home by 9am or you get caught up with farm traffic/dawdlers/bikers/cyclists/speed traps. When it's empty it has some of the best roads in the UK, but please be considerate of the locals still in bed (and sheep sleeping on the road!).

The B6255 from Ribblehead to Hawes is fantastic and deserves multiple passes, a regular Evo stomping ground. Buttertubs Pass (north of Hawes) is worth a run but more as a box ticking exercise in comparison.

The roads back to Grassington are more suited to Lotus suspension than supercars (Evora is witchcraft over here) but still great in places.

Greenhow Hill to Blubberhouses is included for those who see speedlimits as a mere inconvenience. You might do a pass to check its clear first...

Be careful of speed cameras on the A59 back to Skipton, a shame as its a great road when nobody is about.

As a scenic tour this route also hits all the high spots with Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough, Ribblehead Viaduct, Buttertubs, Wenslydale Cheese, Aysgarth Falls etc.
Thanks. Thats a great help. Are there any decent pubs to stop for a bite along that route?

True enough. Depends on the groups appetite for miles and not all options are supercar friendly, but I think this would be a good extension for a longer day.

Masham is famous for its breweries too.
We are a bunch of golden oldies driving F328s so the miles between toilet stops have to be limited!
