I might have done a boo boo... snake pass is closed for roadworks, I didn’t see any signs leading up to the closure saying the road ahead was closed, and had a BMW right up my backside when I got to the road closed sign. With the road clear ahead (no roadworks in sight) and me thinking it unsafe to stop with this driver so close to me, I went past the sign with the intention of doing a u-turn as soon as I could find somewhere safe to do one, but there was a woman stood on a bend just after the sign filming on her phone both myself and the driver behind me with the smuggest look on her face...
My question is can I expect a fixed penalty through my door based on a pedestrians video with no context? If so do I have any chance of fighting it given the circumstances?

I suppose the plus side of it all is that I do have both front and rear dash cam footage that shows me being tailgated, and also shows the lack of signs so if push comes to shove I’ve got something to fight with...
I Googled the closure as soon as I got in and no nothing to do with Covid, apparently it’s due to a landslide that needs cleaning up, why they needed to shut the entire 11 mile road I’m not sure haha!
