Me again!

I've read that St Moritz is very expensive and should be avoided to stop over. Possibly harsh? Just wondering if any of you on here have found any alternatives nearby to stay for the night? This is our planned route starting from Sion to St Moritz

Thanks, will check it out.

This is day 2 for us, day 1 we are heading from Lausanne south through Great St Bernard pass and then looping back round through Chamonix to Sion

Day 3 we will do St Moritz to Andermatt loop

Any recommendations for good places to stay as a base in Andermatt area also appreciated!

I've read that the Nufenen Pass is probably the quietest and most rewarding of all the Andermatt loop. Any suggestions of places to stay the night before to allow an early start at Nufenen?

Thanks for the recommendation mr pg. Will check it out.

I've read somewhere before that Nufenen is best travelled east to west. We will likely stay the night around Andermatt, get on the road for 6:30am and travel south down Gotthard pass to Airolo. Then west along Nufenen to Ulrichen, then North to Gletsch and over to Realp and back to Andermatt.

Not sure how long that will take in one run but if weather is good and roads not too busy I would be tempted to do it in reverse anti clockwise back round to Andermatt, lunch and then Grimsel pass to Breinz.

I've heard the road from Interlaken to Grindelwald is stunning too, have done this route?
