My anti-scene Edition 30
Discussion
Ive been signed up on here for a while now... I know you guys love sensible chassis mods such as normal 'sprung' suspension and correctly fitting tyres.
It is a Mk5 GTI, yes it handles much better than factory and yes, air ride is for fags.
Current spec....
Bilstein PSS10 Coilovers
Superpro poly bushed front. Poly rear toe adjuster
Superpro front camber ball joints -1.5º
Superpro Anti Lift kit
Autotech rear ARB
H&R front ARB
Tyrol Dead set subframe locking kit
DB9 Brembo 4 pots with AP racing 362mm 3 piece fully floating discs
8mm front H&R spacers (need rears at somepoint)
Evoms intake
R8 Coilpacks
BCS TBE 200 cell, black ceramic tips
Revo Stage 2
Revo DSG software Stage 1
Pistonhead sticker (+10bhp)
Yokohama AD08R 225 40 18... correct tyres... no stretch
More to go on this summer including front camber ball joints, Bilstein B8 shocks... maybe even Loba HPFP and S3 intercooler... should see 350-360bhp
Excuse the rear wiper (fixed now)
Running some extra boostings....

Was there much smoothing applied to your dyno graph? It's very impressive!
Car looks great.
Not sure tbh... What ever the default is on dyno dynamics rollers :-)Car looks great.
In theory it should make a bit more power as it stands but I am on the limit of the OEM fuel pump and running luke warm settings. Still goes like a stabbed rat!!!

What's the benefit of fitting coil packs from an R8?
Well... my OEM ones blew up and the R8 ones are cheaper (when bought as a set of 4) than OEM ones. They are also supposedly higher impedance too, not sure if that makes any real term difference or not.If everyone could just ignore the 5 year old that is spamming this thread that would be great. He is just hating because his car is painfully slow.

Black tips look great.
Rich does love a good black tip.I can't help thinking that I don't understand why people lower their cars by such tiny amounts, as it looks like they simply haven't bothered.
and I agree, it's almost as if they're trying to be anti-scene

Lovely car, edition 30 is probably the best modern GTI!
What app do you use for 0-60mph???
Thank you. What app do you use for 0-60mph???
The app is called Dynolicous. I know someone whos got a Racelogic Vbox and reported that its very accurate.
Added this today...
Basically outputs diagnostic parameters onto the screen. Everything from timing advance to fuel rail pressure etc etc.
Just a couple of pics....

How did you find these day to day? I'm weighing this up as an option at the moment just during the summer but have only ever used them on track so no idea how quickly they will wear or if they will kill me when they're cold. Better than a normal summer tyre when cold so wont kill you.
They are ok in the wet providing its not standing water.
They are a bit noisey... sounds like all 4 bearings are on their way out. You get used to it though.
I would be running them again now, but 2 are shot and at over 200 a piece I cannot justify it. I got the ones i ran last year from someone who runs a exige so they were part worn and cost 100 quid a pair :-)
That enough talk of air ride.... starting to make me nauseous. :-)
Exhaust porn. 304 stainless. 3" all the way back to the tips. Probably the best flowing exhaust available for these cars.
Got these to go on to give the front a bit of camber. Should get 1.5º i think maybe a touch more.

Cheaper as well!
Go for the complete bushes/consoleshttp://www.awesomegti.com/superpro-anti-lift-kit-m...
Give AKS tuning a buzz, he will probably be cheapest.
