Hi guys, I had a spare afternoon so I did a little photoshoot of my Impreza Turbo 2000.

Modifications: Prodrive exhaust (dealer brochure upgrade) and panel filter.

Everything else original and standard smile

I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Wow thank you so much everyone. I'm glad that everyone can really appreciate her and IMO they have aged very well.

The first one I test drove was an S reg and that went like stink, I seem to remember something was done to the year 2000 ECU and it never felt that quick to be honest.

But I would absolutely love to have a go in yours for old times sake!
The 1999-2000 models had 215bhp as standard from the 'phase 2 boxer engine'. The pre-1999 ones only had 208bhp so the one you drove which felt faster was probably remapped.

Mine is still on the original 215bhp ECU but I do plan on a Ecutek remap eventually to unleash more potential. It will take it to 270bhp without any silly modifications. In a car that weighs 1260kg, it'll be plenty fast enough to compete with modern day hot hatches smile.

I'm from Gloucester btw smile.

Thank you everyone for the positive comments.

Regarding a potential remap sometime in the next few months, I do plan to go ahead because I honestly believe it will not affect the value. A custom remap from a reputable well-known company/person with invoice will only enhance the drivability of the car without having to add any supporting mods (other than an updated fuel pump- that's all) or by changing the appearance of the car.

Nice to see an original/preserved one. Not common I see a turbo Impreza that doesn't immediately bring the word "tt" to mind.

I did own a 2006 WRX for a while, but I thought it was fking awful and really don't understand the appeal!
A 2006 car +is the Hawkeyes model- regarded as not very good as it uses the 2.5litre engine instead of the 2.0. Plus being only a WRX and not an STI, it lacks power coupled with its weight. Yours wasn't a good first choice biggrin You need to try a classic or a newage STI.

The only thing I really don't like about mine is the reaction it prompts in some other drivers. That "must race, must pass, must get out in front" attitude. I find white vans to be the worst! Right up your chuff in a 30. You know they're thinking "come on mate, thought you had a fast car, I'm keeping up with you in my van"!

Here's my beaut. A few subtle tweaks. WRX wheels, de-oranged, rusty rear arch. Prodrive back box also to enhance that burble!
That's very nice looking. I haven't noticed much attention with mine but that could be because it's silver(?). I think you'd only notice me if you can appreciate cars. Don't forget your red calipers, STI fog covers and personalised plate wink

Lovely looking Wagon.

Regarding rust on these, yes they're hitting 16+ years old now so the inevitable bubbles will try to make an appearance. You can't tell from the pictures but mine has a little 5pence size on the roof and it's just trying to start on the arches (no blistering yet) which I intend to get properly sorted ASAP to preserve the car. Most people with these cars let rust take hold and don't spend the money to get it sorted...

Headlights aint standard, neither are the foglight covers or alloys. Nice car though.
Yes, they're factory upgrades. WR Sport- extremely rare and worth a lot to people in the know!

This is my one.
Bought new by me.
Full main dealer history currently looked after by Bell and Colville.
Upgraded to WR Prodrive spec before delivery.
Currently on 70K
Never used a drop of oil.
Standard apart from Prodrive upgrades.

Stunning. Will you swap me your Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs? biggrin

Your Turbo 2000 is the "creme de la creme". Most people don't know what the WR Sport (Prodrive upgrades are).

Please post some more pictures smile

Thanks all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and it's interesting to see what people think about a classic Impreza.

I used to own an Astra VXR, quoted figures of 0-60 in 5.8 seconds in standard guise. My Impreza Turbo 2000 is definitely quicker than the VXR I owned. I can't imagine an EP3 or a Clio keeping up.

Regardless, it's not all about speed and figures, it's about enjoyment and I love driving the thing. A remap will make it even better smile.

That has to be one of the lowest in the UK. I never see any with less than 50k. How long have you owned it for?

Any more pictures? smile

Little update seeing as all picture hosting has died.

Fresh out of storage and given a good clean. Will be getting it back on the road as my daily within the next couple of months smile

Last year I managed to source some factory upgraded 16” rally spec Speedline wheels from the forums which would have been available from the dealer at the time.

Hi mate. Wow, what a find!

And yes, my Turbo 2000 is in daily use and still in the original condition as per these pics. 88k on clock.

The only find I've done since if I'm being completely honest; I spent £400 including fitting for a new TOAD alarm central locking and immobilizer system because the 19 year old Sigma system kept failing and I was left stranded a few times! Something to do with the old system operating on an old frequency which gets interference.
