Picked this up a couple of months back as a little side project. 1987 Jetta TX.
Had no mot, flat paint and didn't run too well. But I could see it has a really solid shell and had potential to make a nice little run around.
After replacing front flexi brake hoses, pipes, pads and stripping the carb to sort out the fast idle speed, it sailed through its mot.

Not far away. Car originaly purchased in Birkenhead vw main dealer. Car has always had owners in Crosby where I live.
I intend to get the bodywork sorted and keep it stock looking. It still has the original push button radio cassette player and rear speakers.
Thanks for your positive comments guys.

Ah another mk2 owner (currently nose deep in a mk2 golf resto) looks like you dropped on. Would you mind me asking how much you paid for it? I'd love to vr6 a mk2 jetta one day.
A VR6 Mk2 Jetta would be great fun, having owned a Corrado VR6. Fantastic engine. Enjoying the Jetta as it is at the monent, as long as I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
