Been building this slowly over the last 4 and a half years so here goes.
Started life as a pov spec Take Up
Then done the standard thing dewiper & debadge
After that I added some lowering springs and some BBS RAs
I soon realised that this was not low enough so bought some coilovers and upgraded to my first set of splits. BBS RMs
Then I made a start on the interior. I replaced my Up seats with some Audi A1 S-Line seats as well as the steering wheel to match, S1 gearstick and the headliner wrapped in Audi fabric
Then I pulled out the dashboard, center console, all pillars and sunvisors and had them flocked in a grey flock
So i got bored of the RMs as they were a little too small for the car. So next came my second set of splits. 16 inch OZ Futuras
After having to buy some adapters and a little bit of messing around I finally got them fitted
I fancied another change up in the inside of the car so deleted the rear seats and put in a bootbuild
After it had been to the bodyshop for the bodykit to be installed and the front smoothed
Next up was the main thing the car needed. More lows. Custom airlift performance struts were installed alongside v2 management and a notch to make the car literally touch the ground
So now onto this year first thing I did was book it into the bodyshop to have the rear screwholes smoothed over and the whole rear bumper painted. I also deleted the rear boot button to give it a smoother look.
Next up after owning the Futuras for 2 years they were looking a bit rough so gave them a full makeover. Radinox dishes, gold spiked bolts, gold valves and the faces refinished in candy red with a diamond cut under layer
I then finished the rear off with the rear diffuser to go with the rest of the kit and an extended spoiler
Had the whole front end repainted as well as the rear quarters as they had flaked after burning through them whilst static. As it currently sits.
Also upgraded to a mk7 gti steering wheel
I have since added wide wings with the indicators smoothed out but dont have any pics of them yet. More updates to follow

I like the interior, not so keen on the ride height and i'm not keen on how the rear wheel sits off centre in the rear of the arch.
Unfortunately thats what happens when you lower it unless an idf plate is installed. Obviously cant drive it like that hence the air suspensionMrMoonyMan said:
Like it. The new front and rear look good smoothed off although I appreciate why it may not be too popular on here. Are you planning an engine swap of any kind in the future?
Also, did you have a picture of the Up!, sitting up? As in, normal driving height on the air ride.
That I do fancy a 1.4tfsi conversion. Also, did you have a picture of the Up!, sitting up? As in, normal driving height on the air ride.
Also this is drive height

I do like the flocking on the interior, i would paint the inset on the vw badge black on the front and white on the rear, or the same colour as the wheels. I'm still old though so its probably wrong. Has anyone whacked a turbo on one of these yet ?
They got a gti coming out next year 1 litre turbo 113bhpMr2Mike said:

I'm sure it's taken a lot of work but it seems like a bit of a waste if you've done nothing to the engine. Surely these mods will have just slowed it down?
Especially in the vicinity of speed bumps A standard set of regulation Dubsheep mods right there.

What on earth possessed you to do that? I feel old...
You must be. Have you not seen cars at shows these days?I'm still interested to know what it cost but I guess that would be a little embarrassing so I don't blame you for not sharing. Do you ever look at what else you could have bought for the money (and cry yourself to sleep)?
Your dad's Up looks quite nice by contrast, nicely judged - different without looking, well, broken...

I dont need to say how much I've spent its how I want to spend it haha why look at something else? Id do the exact same to that
Because I suspect you could have bought something genuinely interesting, and perhaps more pertinently, actually enjoyable to drive for less. What you've spent I'm going to guess a significant five figure sum on is a very ordinary car and made it drive worse.
Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with an Up, my niece has a nice one and it's a perfectly adequate little car.
But hers cost four grand...
