Here’s a few pictures of my 940 that I’ve just bought back. Modified it quite a bit last year and missed it so got in touch with the seller and he sold it back to me.

Mods on the car that I can remember are;

3 inch exhaust and Decat
Cosworth filter
18t turbo from v70r
Astra vxr injectors
Do88 intake pipe
Aem afr
Fuel lab adjustable fuel pressure regulator
TTV single mass flywheel with 850r clutch
Gaz shortened shocks front and rear with custom springs
Banded steels
Superforma custom spacers 25mm front and 30mm rear
Plus a few other bits I’ve provably forgotten!

So happy I’ve bought it back! Needs a few bits sorting before the shows this year but it’s not a bad starting point.

So so cool! What sort of power have you got?
I’m not sure to be honest. I reckon it’s probably 225-250bhp but never had in on the rollers. It certainly goes well.

Brilliant motor! Question. Are the steel wheels originally VW T5 rims? Where did you go to get them extended please?
I bought them done made. They were 5x108 but the centre bore was wrong. The offset was then totally wrong so had to spend a st load on spacers as nobody makes them for the Volvo! It was a bit of a nightmare but I got there in the end.

I’m answer to your question, they are Ford originally I believe.

Would have looked so much cooler if left unmolested. That exhaust is beyond awful

Forgotten how big these were - the rear three quarter profile looks like a hearse.
To be fair to me, the hanger has collapsed on the back box and then he tail pipe was a piece of scaffolding pipe.

You’ll be please to know I’m straight throughing it in stainless 👍

New back box added. Went for the straight pipe and it was horrendous but lucky for me my pal had a spare cobra back box from his corsa which I was able to use.

Really happy with the sound now. Not too loud but still makes a nice noise.

Hi Jim wavey

You bought my old 850R, I nearly did the same thing with it after you'd sorted out the bits it needed!

Alright rich, that was another one I regret selling! Was absolutely mint in the end!

Had a few issues with a misfire on the 940, happening under load in fourth and fifth gears. Changed the plugs, no hot, fuel filter, still the same but then decided to change the dizzy cap, leads and rotor arm and she’s running like a champ again. The AFR has decided to break now but there’s always something.

There's an absolutely spectacular amount of glazing in that car - visibility must be incredible!
