Audi S5 full fat version
Discussion
So having got rid of my old trusty S8 for something more economical I bought a wonderful A5 3.0tdi quattro Sport.
but despite the great fuel economy and good performance something was missing... yup another 2 cylinders...
so far the other half hasn't noticed I've changed the car... she did comment it sounds different, I said the exhaust was broken...

I've had one of these for the last 4 years, still can't bring myself to replace it as it still makes me smile every time I drive it.
Red leather!
I looked at a couple of black and red leather S5's... loved the red leather, but i fancied a grey and couldn't find one with red leather sadly....Red leather!
Mines cream leather... but if i find a set of red leathers on the bay... i might be tempted

These and the A8/S8 are the only two Audi's I like. They just look so right, your example especially.
I never remember which one is the more powerful.. the "S" or the "Rs"? Not that it matters, both look the business..

Defo a keeper. She says I can have one of those loud estates (RS4) once we're all settled.
It's a lie, she's trying to trick you.... I bet she's also saying she'll still enjoy sex once you're married..... Save yourself and your poor S5.... Keep your man card intact brother....!!!!Few little jobs ticked off today... until the rain hit us...
The rubber cord on the fuel cap was broken
swapped that out for a brand new one, you can't just buy the cord though, you have to buy a whole new fuel cap, not bad at only £26 from Audi.
I then wanted to get the front seats out to hoover the carpets where know one looks, 11 years of other people being in a car I always shudder.....
so sill protected to prevent scratching it on lifting the seats out of the car, damn they are bloody heavy....
and then each seat was scrubbed and gone over with Dr Leather's fantastic wipes...
I'll get an after pic later as only got them back in the car then it started bloody raining...
I was supposed to be doing the new braided brake lines, fluid flush and general repaint in that area today but Mr Postman didn't deliver my new Hel brake lines as he should have done.... grrrrr

Do you know of a good way to remove the cracks in the leather? My driver's seat shows some of these and interested to know if something can be done....
I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. I just read up on it a bit on Detailing World.Even though I have deep cleaned my seats with the fantastic Dr Leather wipes, which nourishes the leather, some cracks/creases still remain, only time will tell if they start to disappear more with regular cleaning/feeding.
There are products on the market which can recolour and fill these types of cracks but the more I read up on them they seemed a quick fix IMHO rather than a permanent solution so I steered clear of them, but I have no actual experience of them so I could be talking bks....!!!

Inspired by this thread I ordered a set of wiper blades, a tub of leather wipes and a clay bar set for mine. Might give it a bit of attention, it's been neglected for a year and relegated to commuter hack.
OMG I'm so sorry, what have i done lol... Get stuck in and every reconnecting with her.....
With the leather wipes they work really well if you dry with a clean microfibre to buff afterwards.
I'm waiting for a full dry weekend to deswirl my paint.
