Thought I would show you Guys my little project. I have steadily been beavering away for the last year building a 6.2 litre V8 Porsche 996.
Reactions on line to the car can best be described as marmite !
There seems to be no middle ground. Although bias, I love it. What's not to like? 525hp, tons of torque, and the burble of a V8.

GM LS3 (Corvette). Balance is pretty much the same as before. Engine and ancillaries weighs about the same as the flat 6.

Since when did Audi do a 6.2 V8?

I'm gonna go with either an LS or LT Chevy.

that is excellent - LS series of engines seems not to be that well respected by the badge snobs here in Europe, more fool them in all hoonesty [sic].

Full details please

Love this. I really want a 911 but love the sound of a V8. Video needed.

From a fellow 996 owner, thats bloody awesome! Following this for sure. Have you got a thread for the build anywhere?

Well that looks amazing. What sort of costs are involved in the swap?
How is access for servicing?

Yep, she is a C4. I only have video of when I first got her running - with no headers. Sounds like a tank. Will try and get some this weekend.

My homemade exhaust (rather proud of it)
