After owning my Mk7 Fiesta ST for 3 years from new from 2015and with the arrival of our daughter in March last year, I've been getting itchy fingers and wanting to change.
After copious amounts of reading and watching, test driving various models for past 3 months I settled on the I30. I was basically sold after the test drive. It's just an amazing drivers car, 5 doors and big boot! Stick it in normal mode and Yeh it's a little loud but drives just like any other hatchback. Press the N button and all hell breaks loose and it's a totally different car.
I picked it up Sunday and enjoyed a 80 mile drive back home. It's making me smile like a big kid!!!
Anyway enough rambling and here's the only 2 pictures I have from my phone so far.

Nice! I'll be following. I'm really keen on these cars. I was offered a test drive although I made the salesman aware I wasn't looking to buy, and he just said he hoped it'd help me keep future models in mind. Unfortunately I had sent my driving licence off just before and hadn't received it back
I was unsure it would be as good as what I had read since before it was released in January and what I'd read since but I can say that once I'd driven it there was no other option that came close. If you get chance to drive it, do so and push the N button. You will smile like a kid in a sweet shop!
I chose white as 95% have been released in the performance blue so thought I'd be a bit different.

Thanks for all the comments.
JACKO has probably nailed the description for the car perfectly!
I have the winter pack which is the only option available that gives you heated seats and steering wheel.
If I didn't have white it would have been factory order and 4 month waiting list. When I picked it up Sunday the dealer showed me the stock they had available of the I30 N for the UK and it was 0!!! Not a single car left unless can get hold of pre registered.
I was sceptical of how good it could have been after reading what people were saying but just drive one if you get the chance. Hyundai have done an amazing job for their first attempt at a hot hatch.

Bit random but what is the audio system like?
Decent enough for me. I don't really have much else to say. It sounds decent enough and gets the stations I require on DAB. Media playback through phone or USB but not used that yet.The Sat-Nav is excellent. Very user friendly although I have yet to use Android Auto through my phone to the display to see how that compares.

[quote=AnotherHamster]Long time reader but my first post on the forums.

I picked mine up on the same day as you OP. Sadly my wife has mostly been driving it this week but she is away for the weekend so looking forward to getting acquainted drivingangel

How are you getting on with yours?

I went for Engine Red + Winter Pack. It was the only one the dealership had sold in this colour; all the others I have seen are the Blue launch colour although they had one in white like yours on display and I like it (not normally a fan of white cars). The dealers seemed genuinely excited about the car with both the sales manager and finance manager joining in for the handover.

Its my first hot hatch (a bit of mixed bag of cars over the years) so looking forward to it.

Excellent choice!!!
I'm loving mine. I've been having a play about with the different drive modes but have come to the conclusion there is minimal difference in MPG so it's N Custom with everything in sport plus apart from dampers which are in normal.

I was going to go for red but the original dealer i went to for the test drive were playing around with my part exchange value so went to another dealer i had been in contact with and they had the white one. Mine too has the winter pack. I wasn't actually considering white until the dealer sent the pictures over, and it looked even better when i actually went and picked it up.

I didn't want the performance blue. It seemed like every car that had been launched was in that colour.

I agree about the dealers. The one I bought from was actually genuinely excited to be selling the car.
I've done 250 miles this week in mine but still another 350 to go in the recommended running in period. Then can start to actually push on a little more.
I need to get more picture up.

Well I am now through my running in period of 600 miles. Taken just under 1 month to get to that so have been a bit more agressive with the throttle pedal in the last couple of days! Oh the noise! And pops and bangs! It does make an addictive noise for a production car. And its pretty quick. It makes joining the motorway from the slip road a pleasure!

Im impressed more everyday with it. If you want it to be a sedate normal hatchback, stick it in Eco or Normal and let it go about its business but if you fancy a blast then its the touch of a button on the steering wheel and it becomes a totally different car.

Plenty of room for the childseat in the back and pushchair in the boot even with the rear strut brace as standard. Hyundai have really produced something good. People still say 'but it's a Hyundai!'. You need to get passed the badge and take it for what it is. An exceptional first effort in the hot hatch sector.

More pictures to follow. I've been too busy working and driving to the running in total to take some.
