Usually when I hear ‘fast road’ I envisage giant intercooler sticking out of a stone chipped bumper.
Your car looks fantastic, bet it goes like the clappers. Very tastefully modified.
Thanks, yes it certainly doesn’t hang around and with the plans over the winter with a larger turbo and meth should be over the 500bhp mark Your car looks fantastic, bet it goes like the clappers. Very tastefully modified.

I think the understeer is pretty much standard Audi fare unfortunately.
With the current spec i have done its massively improved, yes understeer is always going to be there but it needs to be pushed bloody hard to find it. Stock it was as bad as my Vxr for going straight over roundabouts

Based entirely on first hand experience having driven many hundreds of Audis many thousands of miles over a long period of time (on road and on track).
Am quite certain there are those for whom it is an issue but the way the internet propagates the myth is a long way departed from reality.
Much like all Italian cars exploding, Japanese cars being souless, and Range Rovers only being bought by showoffs. Not saying the stereotypes have zero basis in reality but they don't half get overinflated.
Mine stock wasn’t great, contis didn’t help and I honestly did lack confidence. It wasn’t half as bad as it’s made out to be though. Now I have full confidence in the car! I’m hoping to do a few track days this year Am quite certain there are those for whom it is an issue but the way the internet propagates the myth is a long way departed from reality.

So, audi hasn't really been used much as having to wait for the brakes to get sorted, in the mean time i slipped and purchased a full forge engine hose kit in black to keep it looking OEM, next on the list is getting meth installed at AKS tuning then this winter go down the route of a larger turbo.
I do keep debating the idea of selling up and going for an e92 M3 which yes is a much better drivers car and will be more fun to drive, however the audi has had so much spent on it and still only on 33K so seems silly to sell to replace with a car much older and 3 times the miles, i just happen to pull up next to a new rs3 saloon last week that got more than a shock as my little white turd pulled away.

So after a long wait i have finally fitted to brake kit, consists of
TTRS Calipers with 370mm discs
Mintex M1144 pads
Hel braided lines all round
Rears are vagbremtechnic discs with standard brembo pads
Fluid is RBF660
bite is fantastic, given me huge amounts of confidence in pushing the car further and not crash into people

Great car...really like the discrete look...apart from the brakes there is nothing to give it away !
pole positions are going in soon, was going to go rear cage however now thinking just keep it nice and subtle and just up the power. Wanting a new valved exhaust and a few more chassis mods this winter.Sf_Manta said:
Have to compliment on the work, well executed and discrete in how you've done it.
Any further work / updates planned?
Its only just begun, will be getting forged some point next year with a big turbo kit, recaro pole positions fitted and rear bench retired to match. basically replace everything underneath so its flawless. Any further work / updates planned?
Thanks for the kind words, like to keep it subtle until boost comes in

That is a stunning car OP, but what's with the plates? They look a bit 'off'.
Thanks for the kind words, the plates are hit and miss however there genuine carbon fibre with a bit of vinyl over the top creating the lettering. Oh and they don't reflect 😏Booked in once again with jack at royal steering wheels for
Alcantara arm rest (dark grey)
Steering wheel re trimmed with dark grey Alcantara sides and smooth leather top and bottom. Don't intend to use the car much over the winter
