After test driving and discussing options at Caterham South (Gatwick) a few weeks ago on the way to a track day at Brands Hatch, I'm about to order this 310R through Williams Caterham.

Spec: Seven 310, Gulf blue, standard chassis, R-Pack, painted '7' grille, painted noseband and bonnet stripe, lowered floor, fully carpeted interior, black leather seats, heater, clear lens pack, battery master cut-off switch, trackday roll bar, full windscreen, hood and side screens, side screen armrests, carbon vinyl boot cover

R-Pack: 5-speed gearbox, limited-slip differential, lightweight flywheel, sport suspension pack, uprated brake master cylinder, carbon-fibre dashboard, 4-point race harnesses, black pack, unique key, gearknob & instruments, shift light, 15" anthracite Orcus wheels with Avon ZZS

It won't be delivered until Jan/Feb 2020, so this will have to be a virtual thread for a while...

I should have said, this will be a factory build. I'm not intending on driving it in the wet, but if it does end up out in the rain I want the full weather gear.

No update on the car itself, but it should be going into build next week.

Williams is going to fit a full XPEL PPF kit before delivery and I've been looking for a suitable sealant to use each wash. Does anyone else use Gtechniq C2?

I visited Williams today to see the car for the first time. It's already back from PPF, and just needs its PDI while we wait for registration docs to come through. Can't wait to get it home now, and for Spring to arrive driving

Awesome, bet that will be a day to remember biggrin
It's good to finally have it at home, although shame about the weather!

I've not bought a new car before, and probably won't again, so this may well be a once in a lifetime experience.

Dont believe you wont fit until youve tried anSV with lowered floors.....
This is true. The SV I test drove was a lot wider. Personally I prefer the original S3 chassis, but if you need the width the option is there. Mine does have the lowered floors, that's a must unless you're below average height.

I drove around with a sticky plate for over a year. No interest from the police at all.
That would have to sit right where the bonnet stripe meets the nose band so I don't think would be a good solution here.

The plate does look large but its not the end of the world. They really look best with no plate at all.

Probably going to jinx myself now, but I haven't ever fitted a front plate to mine and have never been pulled.

That does look excellent. Nice colour by the way wink
