Im doing similar with my 182, that look sa proper weapon with some lovely quality parts.
Love it
Thanks man.Love it
It went well at Donington last night, bar shifter cable popping out on gearbox (!) and the fuel line popping off and losing all power (!!!!)
Next step is to fix the above so they never happen, fit a Zircotec coated CGR decat and a second hand Akra exhaust/ CGR system.

Do you need to strengthen any engine components on these for the 340bhp and 330 ib ft? When I considered further tuning my 270 odd bhp r26 300 bhp was the limit really without forging engine components.
Almost forgot to mention, lovely car and a dream spec with some quality parts. Nicely done.

Nah the M3RS engine internals are a lot better than M2RS....some people run up to 400bhp on stock internals. It’s the torque down bottom end that kills them, so usually that gets limited.

That will be epic!
How close is that engine to the limits? especially on a long hot track day??
From a cooling point of view, I was on Donny on Tuesday (29degC), and it seemed OK. I had reservations about the cooling capacity, as the intercooler covers the entire front radiator. To compensate this, I've ran a secondary radiator in line with the turbo auxiliary water pump. I saw 115 on oil temp, BUT this value is derived from the breather pipe. How close is that engine to the limits? especially on a long hot track day??
Unfortunately water temp is not a digital out, just a crappy dial with a few lines on it. Next time I'll run a cheapo OBD2 reader and log water temp. It didn't go over the limit though which is good I guess!
On purpose the engine isn't tuned to it's full potential. Turbo is capable of 365bhp, but it's safely running only 340.

Good call on the extinguisher, may not save teh car but should buy you hopefully some time.
Were you not tempted with a plumbed in system? They're very easy to install.
Also noticed a nice little PH share of this car on Facebook yesterday, deservedly so
Yeah realistically it isn’t a 4kg plumbed in FIAA job, but a few seconds is a lifetime leaving a car. I am tempted for plumbed in one, gonna look at doing a stealth install in the spare wheel well, with cables hidden under the dash, as I ain’t racing! Were you not tempted with a plumbed in system? Fantastic job, really nice. Practical performance!
Two questions. As an overall driving experience (not just outright performance) how does it compare with your old R26R? Which is more fun?
Also the CAE shifter, they look great, what's it like to use? Is it an improvement? I'm thinking about one for my Boxter.
Compared to my old .R (no 58, climate, cage, r888’s and most importantly the ti exhaust) it’s faster, handles better and is built to a much higher standard. The .R was a proper event to drive, with the 6 points, the seats, the cages, and I missed that in my first 250. I was offered it to buy again, but after driving a mark 3 I couldn’t go back, and now this has the loud exhaust, the cage, the harness’ etc, it does have the “race car” feel again. Two questions. Many purists are going to hate this, but a standard mk3 is a lot more fun than an .R. It’s just a better car.
CAE shifter isn’t a short shifter or a quick shift. It removes slack out the oem setup, and moves the shifter close to steering wheel. It also looks Uber cool! I’d fully recommend one, as again, it makes the car special to drive. Precise, slick and solid would be three words to describe it. If you’re near me (Derbyshire) you’re more than welcome to try before you buy (they’re not cheap!).
