Bought a few years back to tinker with. Tinkered, found I didn't have the skills to do it to a standard desired so have handed it over to the professionals.

It's a B8444S, built by Yamaha as supplied to Noble for the M600 (before they turbo'd etc). So good for 300bhp.

Noble stopped using them and had a few left on the shelves in crates, brand new from Japan. Seemed foolish not to, then it just seemed foolish. Which it is, but hey ho.

Assume it's longitudinal in the M600. There's probably not much left of the engine once they've put a couple of turbos on and beefed up the internals.

Looking at Ford Explorer rear axle. Work should start on that element shortly as they're starting with the back of the car.

Gearbox may be BMW/Getrag but they might have to dry fit a couple of options to see what fits best.

That was an amusing discovery. I thought the car was quite solid until it was stripped.

Yep, XC90 is its normal home along with a few S80s.

Actually got the engine on ebay... seemed a bit cheap which made me suspicious but it all turned out to be legit. Was half the price of scrapped units. Unfortunately that small economy will be lost in the scheme of things!

There’s someone doing a P1800, but this is the only Amazon I’m aware of.

V8 conversions are rare as the engine bay isn’t that accommodating.

Nope, panels are all standard. I’d like the exterior to be largely standard. Shiney and chromed with a few of the fussy details removed, but otherwise the same shape.

It’ll have a cage for rigidity and roll over protection but that’ll be worked into the body to be as subtle as possible. But no rear seats.

Front will get new seats of some sort. I’ve got a couple
From an Alfa GTV which might do the trick.

I’m after plush rather than race. We haven’t really got as far as the mood board for that though :-). Do have a thing for quilted leather but that may be a step too far.

What colour do you have planned for the exterior?

Black with gold pinstripes for that JPS style reminiscence? wink
Still pondering colour. Have some ideas, but not quite committed yet.
