I LOVE these. Absolutely awesome. So squat, so purposeful...
Was sad to see what EVO wrote about them when they threw it in against some hot hatches a few months ago. It's a classic, and Corsa's with 200bhp (or thereabouts)aren't exactly the same thing, are they?
Yes I saw that article, but you are right it isn't the same thing and I think the tester concluded he would still take the integrale. Personally, I would never spend £20K on a Corsa...Was sad to see what EVO wrote about them when they threw it in against some hot hatches a few months ago. The integrale is still a magical drivers car, even if there are ultimately quicker/more powerful cars out there. Mine is standard 215BHP, there are plenty with lots more power/performance extracted but at the moment I just want to keep it true to how it left the factory.
The nice thing is owning something with a real motorsport pedigree, that car lovers tend to be really interested in, is a little unusual and where every journey is an event. On fast B roads its still very very capable and is a far better machine than I am driver!
Even the fact that it's left hand drive makes it feel a little exotic. It great to have something that makes you go into the garage late in the evening just to stand and look at it, how sad is that!

I know this sound really wierd, but the arches and wheels look photoshopped to me?
Or is it my monitor?
Yes, they probably are. When I was at Oulton Park a couple of weeks ago a professional photograher took a few pictures and left a card under the windscreen wiper of my car.Or is it my monitor?
When I got home he had posted it on his website.
Here's another couple
Thanks for all the comments guys.
It would be interesting to hear from anyone who doesn't like the integrale and why.
My wife thinks it's a pile of poo and just does not see the attraction at all. In fact it's hard to get her to go anywhere in it.
I guess some of your dream cars are determined by your age. I know when the integrale was doing it's stuff on the rally stages I was in my early 20's, reading every car mag going, and longing to own one but it just wasn't financially possible at the time. Ever since that I wanted one desperately.
