New Daily Hack - Citroen C2 VTS
Discussion
Hello,
Mrs Hero is due a baby in 12 weeks so we decided to get a little runaround for me getting to work (she'll be keeping the scooby ). Anyhow, it's not a bad car actually considering it's French. Saving a fortune in fuel already getting to work (stuck in traffic there and back).
It's good fun
Cheers,
Neil.

I've allways had a soft spot for these, but been put off by the lack of a manual, is the GT version pretty much a vts with a manual 'box?
Nice colour too!
Lack of manual? Not sure about the GT to be honest, the VTS does have a manual box though?Nice colour too!

Nice buy, i had a silver VTS for a few years. It was great fun, quick cheap and fun...
How the hell did you get that last pic?! Iv been sat scratching my head for a few minuites, surely the Citroen badge should be just as blurred as the rest of the wheel as its spinning at the same rate? Photoshop? Well trained finger? Either way, good job!
Used a camera mount, took a static shot first, then the motion one. Copied the badge from the static one and photoshopped it onto the motion one How the hell did you get that last pic?! I was going to upgrade to the VTS from my VTR but will just keep it an extra year and change to a ClioSport next year.
Nice one, big for managing to insure that as a first car!My daughters boyfriend was looking to buy mines but told me he had been quoted about £2500+ TPF&T and just couldn't justify it!
I'm paying £2500 Fully Comp on my own policy and have just started driving (Well I had at the time!)
Hopefully a 182/197 next September

Very nice! I was looking to buy a CT VTS a few months ago, but no insurance company would touch me, then tried some GTs (unaware at the lack of AC) and then some 1.4 whatever spec, but I figured it'd be too small in the end. Are they actually as small as they seem? I drive past Jonny675s often but have never actually stopped to compare sizes.
Tell me, how do you take a picture like that (the last one), I've got a borrowed nikon D40 from college at the moment and would really like to try it out tomorrow
It actually feels very spacious compared to my Impreza, it's more to do with the headroom and seats though I recon. The C2 also has more room for larger Ikea boxes due to the seats folding down (which the scooby doesn't do).Tell me, how do you take a picture like that (the last one), I've got a borrowed nikon D40 from college at the moment and would really like to try it out tomorrow
As for the last shot, you need a mount, here's mine.
You basically stick the mount on the side of the car, use a slow shutter speed and drive at around 5mph.

Good choice for blatting to work etc in. I had a GT for a couple of years, good cheap fun really.
Certainly is good fun! It's just a short term thing while the Mrs takes a year off for maternity. Both cars will be sold when she goes back to work Edited by 4hero on Wednesday 13th May 23:19

Those pictures are amazing!
One thing the C2 needs is its wheels spacing out a tiny bit as they sit far in the arches don't they!
Cheers! I think they are ok actually. One thing the C2 needs is its wheels spacing out a tiny bit as they sit far in the arches don't they!
