993 Engine failures ?

Ok. So I am reading this forum and know all the horror stories about 996 engines going bang. But then I read that the same is happening to 997s. One guy on here has posted that he has had two go bang - So I am sat here all smug looking at Helga, my 993 (big buxom german serving wench with two steins of beer on a tray and golden pony tails - you get the picture) sat in the garage.

Should I be so smug?
